Dr Diskin was friendly, kind and very thorough and explained everything to me about my eyes. He asked if I thought I could see well enough without glasses and put the choice in my hands to purchase them or not. He was not pushy which I appreciated! He will be my eye doctor now!! Staff was courteous and friendly! They did explained that I had a bill but asked if I wanted to pay today, part or all or pay when I could. No other office I’ve ever been in has been that nice about payment! Great all-around experience, even the wait was not bad!
I've been going here for years. The staff is always friendly and my doctor is very thorough. He explains what's going on with my eyes and always makes sure my questions and concerns are answered. Recently I had a scare over the weekend with my eyesight that I'd never experienced before. I called the office and spoke to the answering service. After explaining my situation a doctor called me back straight away. Speaking to a doctor on a Sunday and having him relieve my worries was awesome. Being told to be at their office first thing Monday morning l was seen promptly where my concerns were again relieved with experience and care. I have recommended Michigan Eye Institute in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
My experience was very informative, professional, and promising. I have been a patient of Dr Mahalak for years. He is always very pleasant, gives recommendations and makes sure I understand them, and am comfortable before proceeding. Which I am very appreciative of. He involves me in my treatment plan which is very important to me. His staff are great.
I like that the office runs on time. That tells me they respect my time - which often is not true at many other offices. Each employee appeared to be competent with their job/responsibilities. I appreciated the education offered. That is always important to me.
While the staff and drs are friendly and the scheduling system is smooth, I cannot get over the fact that the office here cannot seem to bill correctly. I have paid my copay correctly multiple times and have been able to verify as much via bank statement, yet I keep receiving the same bill for the same services I have paid for. The same has happened to my husband, and when we called the billing dept to get things taken care of the first time, they zero’d out his account without reapplying any of his overpayment. This has since been resolved, but we are very disappointed with all of the hoops we have had to jump through just to pay simple bills to MEI.
Very professional and efficient. I waited five minutes before being taken back by the medical assistant. Fastest time at an eye doctor thus far. The doctor was personable and professional. Highly recommend the eye Institute over any other eye facility.
My experience couldn’t have been better. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and there was nothing to it. The surgeries were performed 2 weeks apart and all restrictions were removed 1 week after each surgery. I was pain free throughout the whole process. A total 👍!
